Regenerative Orthopedic Procedures

Disclaimer: Results and claims are not typical or meant to represent your results. Risks exist for any interventional procedures including all regenerative medicine treatments which include prolotherapy, A2M, bone marrow, growth factor injections, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Long-term side effects of regenerative medicine are unknown and short-term problems have emerged. Complications are uncommon but these do include the possibility of infection, bleeding, no help from the procedure, worsening pain, and remotely stroke and death.

Regenerative medicine involves natural, alternative therapies that utilize cells from your own body to help reduce acute and chronic pain. These therapies may help reduce the need for pain medications, steroid injections, or surgery. Our providers also use regenerative medicine for certain longevity and wellness techniques.

We offer a comprehensive range of solutions, including:

Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP Therapy)

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) contains a higher concentration of platelets, which contain special proteins called growth factors that may promote healing. By using the body’s own cells injected into damaged tissue, PRP therapy may provide a reduction in pain and improvement in joint function for a variety of conditions or injuries:

PRP injections are minimally invasive and help patients reduce the risks, discomfort, and recovery times associated with surgery.

Our providers also use PRP therapy for cosmetic enhancements, including skin and facial rejuvenation, anti-aging services, and restoring hair loss.

Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy may help strengthen weakened or injured tissues by stimulating your body to send healing cells to the affected area. The procedure involves injecting a sterile solution into the connective tissues. When those cells arrive at the injured area, they cause a localized inflammatory reaction. This reaction may help stimulate healing activity over time that allows the body to form new collagen and strengthen tissues. Prolotherapy usually involves a series of injections (typically 2-8) to achieve optimal improvement, and can be used to treat the following conditions:

  • Low back pain
  • Arthritis and osteoarthritis
  • Tendonitis
  • Sports-related injuries
  • Overuse injuries

Bone Marrow Aspiration and Injections

Bone marrow is a source of mesenchymal stem cells, which may help the body’s own natural ability to heal. The procedure is used for orthopedic conditions, such as injury or arthritis.

With this procedure, your own growth factors are placed into a specific joint or disc to help promote healing. It may be used for the following conditions:

  • Arthritis and osteoarthritis
  • Degenerated or herniated discs
  • Orthopedic and other spine injuries, such as spinal stenosis
  • Tendonitis and partial tendon tears
